Benefits Manager opening in New York/Connecticut. The position will have a dual focus of providing employees with excellent benefits and managing and developing a first rate benefits team to provide these services. Specific responsibilities include: Develop and implement a strategic vision for in-house benefit plans; manage the Benefits Team consistently with management style; design the Benefits Team structure including hiring, training, and developing team members to implement the design; drive change and improvement to the existing processes; evaluate benefit plans and managing vendor relationships; oversee the daily administration of all benefits and COBRA for 600+ employees; serve as a subject matter expert on benefit issues, including having a superior understanding of federal laws pertaining to benefits, such as FMLA, COBRA, ADA, etc. Ideal candidate will have a degree and high GPA from top-rated university and 5+ years of benefits-related experience, extensive understanding of benefits legislation and a broad familiarity with benefits provider and broker industries.
