Regional Actuary opening in Ontario. Provide actuarial pricing support for the Canadian Region global specialty lines underwriting division. Lines of business include cross border US workers compensation, general liability, auto, umbrella and excess casualty, professional liability, marine, property, energy industry coverages, and alternative risk management. Duties include pricing model creation and maintenance, large account pricing support, program analysis and portfolio profitability analysis, coordination with global pricing approaches, and monitoring pricing levels; assistance with analysis of ceded reinsurance proposals as needed; recommending collateral funding requirements for loss fund escrow accounts for alternative risk management book of business; provide supporting information to the Appointed Actuary to meet other actuarially related regulatory requirements of OSFI and Provinces; provide supporting information for loss reserve report with discounting and PFAD, DCAT analysis, and Earthquake PML analysis; assist Underwriters and management with actuarial aspects of the annual financial planning process; provide technical assistance and information to other departments; work regularly with other actuaries, local finance department and other management personnel.
