Consulting Firm on the East Coast US will consider Experienced Pension Actuarial Students. Candidates will ideally have actuarial exam progress but the pursuit of the exams is not mandatory. The primary responsibilities include: creating spreadsheets and completing actuarial calculations on client projects, preparing data request packages and transmittal letters, summarizing, manipulating, and entering data into computer models using actuarial software, performing analysis of data related to client work, reading and comprehending plan provisions from plan documents, summarizing plan provisions or other related plan materials, completing calculations following FASB and GASB accounting rules, performing specialized programming with valuations, drafting actuarial reports, responding to annual auditor requests, preparing Form 5500 and Summary Annual Reports(subject to review and approval by consultants), performing other duties as assigned from time to time and taking an active role in pursuing continued education.
The candidates should have a strong technical aptitude, great attention to detail, and the ability to self-motivate and meet goals. The candidates should also be able to work in a team environment and individually, as well as be able to balance and prioritize multiple projects.
